Stick Soccer - Team 1 (Australia/Scotland)

Hello and welcome back to my Stick Sports tutorial! Check out my last post with the introduction of this tutorial if you haven't already done so.

Ok, now get ready to win your first world domination game! For most people, including me, this game is versus Australia. However, even if this differs for you, don't worry as the game is still pretty much the same.

As I mentioned in my previous post, remember that you can play world domination matches as many times as you want without a penalty. So, if this is your first game, take your time in learning the controls and mechanisms of this game. For those who haven't played a game yet, you have to slide the ball towards the goal as it comes rolling.

First Half

The first half of the game requires you to shoot from the short area, close to the goal, as shown in the picture:

Depending on the direction in which the ball is rolling, you have to shoot in the appropriate direction.
When the ball is rolling from left to right, shoot towards the left side of the goal. Try to shoot such that the ball travels towards the right side of the second defender and into the top-left corner of the goal (or at least somewhere close to that).

If the ball is rolling from right to left, shoot towards the top-right corner of the goal. Fortunately, there are no defenders in this area, so it should be easier than scoring on the left side of the goal. Whichever way you're shooting, just try not to shoot too straight, i.e, directly at the goalie as this just makes it easier for him to save it. Also remember that, while you are busy scoring goals, your opponent is accumulating goals as well. Keep an eye on the scores and always try to be ahead of your opponent to win the game.

At half time, Australia would have probably just scored one goal, so you should probably be ahead if you followed the instructions. Now for the second half.

Second Half

The second half is also from the short area. The angle in which you have to shoot makes this area relatively more difficult than the first half.

Again, let's identify where to shoot. There is not much chance of scoring a goal by aiming at the right side of the goal as the goalie usually saves everything there. There is more chance of scoring a goal when you shoot towards the left side of the goal. When the ball is travelling from towards left, let it roll beyond the left goal post and then aim for the gap between the defender and the goal post. Yeah, I know it's not easy, especially for your first game, but try your best.

When shooting with the ball rolling towards right, again aim for the same area of the net, but this time from the other side of the defender. Let the ball roll past the defender, almost in front of the goalie, and then use the angle to shoot it behind the defender.

Well, that's it for today. Australia should have probably scored 1 or 2 goals, so beating them would not have been too much of an ask if you practised well and followed my instructions. I hope you enjoyed playing (and possibly winning) your first World Domination game! If you have any questions or suggestions, or a tip or two for others, please feel free to leave them in the comments.
